Amino-modified magnetic beads technology for the treatment of galvanised wastewater

Dear technical decision-makers in zinc plating plants, Are you tired of multi-million-dollar equipment renovation proposals? Have you heard of the renowned silica magnetic beads but are concerned about the high investment in supporting equipment? Today, we introduce the revolutionary ready-to-use amino-modified magnetic beads—no investment in new equipment, no changes to existing processes. Simply add them to your current water tank to achieve heavy metal recovery and sludge reduction!

1. What Are These High-Tech Beads?

The Ultimate Design by Materials Scientists

Smart Targeted Capture: -NH₂ functional groups accurately lock onto Zn²⁺/Ni²⁺ via coordination bonds.

2. How to Use?

Step 1: Dosing (Directly into Existing Reaction Tank)

Dosage Calculation: Bead weight = Total zinc/nickel in wastewater × (3.5~5)

Example: Zn²⁺ = 50 mg/L, Ni²⁺ = 20 mg/L → Dosage per ton of water = (50+20) × 3.5 = 245 g

Operation: Directly sprinkle into the existing reaction tank and stir for 15 minutes (using existing stirring equipment).

 Step 2: Separation (Flexible Options)

Option A (Recommended): Capture with ordinary magnets (custom magnetic rods).

Option B: Natural sedimentation in settling tank (high density, 3x faster settling speed than traditional sludge).

Option C: Capture via existing filtration system (uniform particle size, low risk of filter clogging).

 Step 3: Regeneration (On-Site Reuse)

Eluent: 5% sulfuric acid solution (diluted from commercial industrial sulfuric acid).

Operation: Soak collected beads in acid for 10 minutes, rinse with water, and reuse.

Reuse Cycles: ≥10 cycles (tested data, capacity retention >85%).

3. Economic Benefits

  • Comprehensive Cost Reduction: Compared to traditional methods, overall costs decrease by ~15% (considering chemical savings, sludge disposal reduction, and metal recovery revenue).
  • No Renovation Costs: Zero investment in new equipment or fixed assets.
  • No Production Stoppage: No need to halt production for modifications.
  • Scalability: Adjust dosage based on water volume to handle capacity fluctuations.

4. Why Are Our Amino Magnetic Beads Superior?

Abundant Binding Sites: High amino density enhances binding with Zn²⁺/Ni²⁺ ions.

Excellent Reproducibility: Minimal batch-to-batch variation ensures process stability.

Strong Magnetic Properties: Superparamagnetic for fast magnetic separation, significantly improving efficiency.

Superior Dispersion, Resuspension, and Stability: Enhances operational efficiency and convenience.

Long Shelf Life: Vacuum-packed, maintains activity for 2 years at room temperature.

High Compatibility: Works across pH 5-10 and temperatures 5-80°C.

Technical Support: Engineers provide on-site guidance for optimal dosing.
